Why do peaches actually have hair? Well, for the same reasons we do! As long as the fruit is hanging on the tree, its hair is as thick as fur, standing almost vertically and protecting the peaches from heat and cold. The hairs only fall out after the harvest, leaving behind the delicate fuzz, which you can eat without hesitation.

Peaches are also ancient, around 2 million years old. They originally come from China, where they are considered a symbol of immortality. Thanks to their balanced taste of fruity sweetness and light acidity, peaches are true harmony artists and can be wonderfully combined with countless other foods. From classic dishes such as peach quark to delicious peach muffins and tropical fruit salads.

But if you really love the unusual, then we recommend the peach sandwich: a slice of white bread with real English cheddar cheese (or a vegan alternative), green salad, tomatoes and our dried peaches. With our peaches, there's one annoying thing you don't have to do: press your thumb to check whether the fruit is really ripe. We pay meticulous attention to this before we gently preserve our fruit: Freeze-drying helps us to remove most of the water from the peaches. However, almost all the fruit's flavor and nutrients are retained.

So when you bite into one of our thick peach slices, you can be sure that it still contains all the goodness of nature - and nothing else. This is because we do not use any additives during production. Now you just have to store the peaches properly. They love it dry and packed airtight in a safe container. Just like in our refill jars. Our fruits contain no added sugar or other additives. However, they naturally contain fructose. Since the water is removed in the freeze-drying process, all the nutritional values add up. The fruits therefore weigh much less when freeze-dried. It can be said that 100g of freeze-dried fruit corresponds to approximately 1kg of fresh fruit. Calculated per 100g, the fruits contain more fructose than fresh fruit, but only because they weigh much less. You can find the exact nutritional information for every product in our shop.
