As long as the fruit is hanging on the tree, its hair is as thick as fur, standing almost vertically and protecting the peaches from heat and cold. The hairs only fall out after the harvest, leaving behind the delicate fuzz, which you can eat without hesitation.

Peaches are also ancient, around 2 million years old. They originally come from China, where they are considered a symbol of immortality.
