Did you know that the little blue fruit has over 15 different names in this country? They are called blueberries, blueberries or wild berries and differ in their occurrence and properties. For our freeze-dried blueberries we use the wild variety from the forest.

The small berries look pretty and shine with their blue color. Anthocyanins, the plant pigments, are to blame for this. You can see how much of it is in the wild blueberry by the richly colored flesh. Cultivated blueberries cannot keep up with their bright interior.

Where does the crunch come from? Our fruits from controlled cultivation remain on the bush until they reach full ripeness. This means we only get adult and ripe berries in our bags. When freshly harvested, they are freeze-dried directly so that the valuable vitamins, minerals and the taste experience of the strawberries are retained - over several months. Fresh fruits, on the other hand, are, as you know, only edible for a few days.
