Where does the crunch come from? Our fruits from controlled cultivation remain on the bush until they reach full ripeness. This means we only get adult and ripe berries in our bags. When freshly harvested, they are freeze-dried directly so that the valuable vitamins, minerals and the taste experience of the strawberries are retained - over several months. Fresh fruits, on the other hand, are, as you know, only edible for a few days.

To ensure that the strawberries remain vitamin-rich and nutritious for as long as possible, they are frozen shortly after harvesting. Using a vacuum, the ice-form water contained in the fruit is removed and the water content drops from around 90 to less than 5 percent. This provides the crunch that you otherwise only know from chips. And so, when stored correctly, our strawberry slices taste like they were freshly picked, even many months after harvest.

So that nothing goes wrong: It's best to store our freeze-dried strawberries in a dark and dry place. You don't have to put them in the fridge because the most important thing for our strawberries is protection from moisture and sunlight. So it's best to keep them in their packaging, as they stay fresh for the longest time - or use our practical and beautiful onesRefill glasses.
